From Surviving to Thriving
The White Stone Village Foundation is a new Maasai-led initiative focused on cultivating land stewardship while honoring ancestral cultural practices and knowledge in the Maasai village of Loiborsoit within the Simanjiro district, Tanzania.
Currently the Loiborsoit area has become home to newly displaced Maasai from Loliando, who have been forcibly evicted and are still experiencing PTSD. The village is facing a critical intersection of forced displacement, climate migration, soil degradation from colonial-introduced unsustainable monoculture farming, flood loss, and furthering climate-crisis effects.

The Living Classroom
We are establishing a flagship homestead boma (village) which will feature solar power, rainwater harvesting, and permaculture gardens.
Sustainable Farming and Reforestation Programs
Maasai-led Land-Stewardship Initiatives - honoring ancestral cultural practices through Traditional Ecological Knowledge of local ecosystems, animal & plant life, and sustainable harvesting in reciprocity.
Nutritional & Economic Diversification
A transition from water-intensive corn to resilient, nutritious, indigenous crops and low-impact poultry raising to enhance local food security and income.
Waste Management
Including recycling, composting, and a large plastic cleanup effort currently underway.
